The dedication ceremony for this event was held in conjunction with the two-day science forum and open house held at the Conte Anadromous Fish Laboratory in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. |

| Each attendee to the event was given a package containing two fact sheets, a bookmark,
and a postcard. Selected State and local cooperators and USGS employees were presented USGS benchmark plaques to commemorate the
event. |

(Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation), the town of Montague City for hosting the station for 100 years, Congressman John Olver for supporting USGS activities, and to
USGS employees for 100 years of dedicated efforts. |

One of them (A Century of Service-100 Years of Continuous Streamflow-Data Collection on the Connecticut River, Montague City, Massachusetts) discusses only the history of the stream-gaging station at Montague City, Massachusetts. The other (One Hundred Years of Streamflow Measurements in Massachusetts and Rhode Island) discusses the history of the entire stream-gaging network in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. |
